one man's trash - a little girl's treasure

Some years back I had a vision of what I would love Emily's room to look like. Sort of a Pottery Barn Kids cottagey combination.

The whites and soft pastels are so sweet & fresh together.


And if you're like me....you probably can't afford to purchase each and every item you covet in the catalogs that fill our mailboxes on a daily basis.

The next best thing is to take their ideas and make them our own for a lot less money.



Sometimes the very best goodies can be found at yard sales or antique shops. 

You might remember my post some years back called "find your treasure."  That is the same antique shop where I found this amazing headboard......



Now sitting perfectly where it was always meant to be.

I wonder where this headboard was before now.  Well, besides the antique store porch.  


It's fun to imagine where it has been in the past....and see where it is now.... and we couldn't be happier.

Here's to dreaming a little dream.
